This failure directly impacts the vehicle\u2019s defrost system, which is critical for maintaining windshield visibility. Reduced or failed defrost capability creates a safety hazard by impairing visibility while driving, increasing the risk of an accident.  Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issue has been confirmed by multiple authorized Toyota dealerships, including Sheehy Toyota and Mike Calvert Toyota. Both independently diagnosed a failed A/C compressor requiring replacement.  Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. The issue has been escalated to Toyota Corporate, and a case manager has reviewed the dealership findings. Documentation has been submitted to Toyota for warranty and goodwill consideration.  Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. A grinding/buzzing noise began when the A/C system was activated and was formally reported to Sheehy Toyota on October 27, 2025, while the vehicle was under warranty. The issue was not repaired at that time.
