I tried inside vehicle buttons for back tailgate and would not respond - no sounds or anything. Nothing was obstructing the back gate on the outside or interior of vehicle to prevent it from opening. I found a video of a 2021 Odyssey having water leaks into the car from the sliding door and rusts the power module causing it to short. So, my husband opened the back fuse box and got into the back panel and removed and sure enough there is water damage to the module. It is about $400 to replace and it is only a Honda dealership part. This is a safety issue because there is no way to manually open back tailgate in case of an emergency.
