The steering wheel feels like it’s stuck in a detent or notch when going straight and takes a little bit of force to turn it left or right to make minor corrections. Then the change of direction is sudden not gradual, possibly impacting me and the traffic around me. It feels like I’m fighting against the Lane Departure system but there are no warning lights coming on . When it moves out of the “notch” the steering feels somewhat heavy. This, so far, has been an intermittent issue, but a very disturbing one. I’ve been to the dealership with it but everything seems normal when I go in. This all started at just over 42,000 miles. Everything points to the electronic rack and pinion beginning to fail, as hundreds of 2017- 2019 CR-V owners have indicated. There seems to be a system failure on these cars. A very important system but no recall from Honda???
