The contact stated that the fuel odor was strong when filling up the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics who diagnosed that fuel was leaking into the engine bay. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted, however, and refused to inspect or diagnose the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to the dealer. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming excessive fuel and the failure was worsening.
