Once the failure would occur, the vehicle would remain in neutral(N) and would not restart in neutral. The contact would be forced to place the vehicle into (P) and manually restart the engine; this had been a cause for concern as this failure would cause the contact to hold up traffic. The contact also express concern that the failure may lead to an accident. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer on multiple occasions to address the issue where he had been informed to turn off the feature, replace the battery, and have a battery reset performed on the vehicle.
