As I proceeded to enter the expressway, my 2017 Ford Edge started vibrating and as I accelerated to go onto the expressway, the car stalled. I was able to restart the car and it vibrated and stalled again as I accelerated to pull over on the shoulder of the road, which there was minimal area to pull off due to the lack of shoulder. Then, the check engine light came on. I could have been in a major accident if I was not able to get out of the flow of traffic quick enough. My mechanic told me that I have a head gasket cylinder leak which is a well known problem with the 2.0L Ford Ecoboost engine which causes the engine to stall. He said that he has seen this problem before and Ford recognizes the problem but is unwilling to do anything about it. He also said that probably a certain amount of people have to die or get injured before Ford will do anything about it. He also said Ford changed the cooling design after 2019 due to the number of problems they have had with the 2.0L engine head gasket.
