At 245 in the afternoon at 65 miles an hour no other vehicles near it.  The day was clear and the temperature was in the low 70s. Heard a bang and pulled over to discover the glass had shattered.   There was flying glass had another vehicle been near they would be been pelted with broken glass. The potential for injury of the passenger of the vehicle had the shade not been closed.   The fact that the glass was not there it was hard to dispute that it happened.  The local dealership put it off as an insurance issue rather than dealing with it. Insurance is moving forward. I believe it was a factory defect an should be looked into as a recall.
