While driving approximately 75 MPH, the rear driver's side tire suddenly, the Tire Sensor illuminated. The contact was attempting to get to the nearest exit to pull over, but before being able to do so, the tire blew. When the failure occurred, it caused the rear bumper to detach from the vehicle. The contact moved to the emergency lane, where they noticed the tire had disintegrated. The tire was replaced with a spare tire and driven to their home. The contact stated their niece, who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time, had suffered a panic attack, at the time which caused their nose to bleed and necessitated medical attention.  The next day, the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who confirmed it was a known issue with the tires and the tire was replaced. The bumper was reattached. The manufacturer was not informed.
