Noise was terrifying and I slowed to gain my composure before pulling to the side of the highway and calling the police.  Car is currently at a local dealership. My initial thought was that something like a rock hit the sunroof, but on my own inspection it appears the explosion was outward. there is no evidence of something falling on it. no scratches on the inside roof cover which was closed at the time. No makes on the roof rack or scratches on the car roof.  There was no warning of any kind from the vehicle that it might occur.  after doing some research I discovered that there have been many cases of exploding sunroofs on Hyundai cars. Dealership is under the assumption that a rock hit the roof, but are not willing to give me a report of an examination into what might have caused it.
