We have to wait 1-3 minutes without attempting to turn it in the off position and then the key will release from ignition.  No warning lamps. No error codes on reader. Repeatable by auto technician who suggested a battery change- our current battery was fine and did not fix the issue.  If you forget and try to remove the key in under a minute after parking you have to restart the truck, go back to park and then start the 1-3 minute countdown all over before it will release the key.  The truck is in park, the parking brake is engaged (although we tried without using the brake and still won\u2019t release key)  This means the trucks battery has to run until it will release the key.
