The Ram dealer that diagnosed my truck was unable to source a new anti-lock brake module, but told me, \"We're not allowed to tell you this, but it will always have brakes\".   My anti-lock brakes and traction control have been disabled for 2.5 years.  The part I need is supposedly under \"Engineer Review\" and is still not available.  In March 2026 I experienced a number of electrical issues and took my truck to a different Ram dealer.  Their diagnosis indicated my ABS module has degraded further and has shorted the CAN bus.  This disables the transmission shifter, electronic throttle control, electrical power steering, speedometer, and 4wd system.  These were all disabled while traveling at 65 MPH on the interstate.  Currently, my truck is immobile and is at a dealer awaiting an Anti-lock brake module.  The part has been backordered.  I'm happy to pay the repair costs the get my truck back.    I'm writing because of the huge safety concern of being forced to drive with a faulty Anti-lock braking system due to a lack of available parts (2.5 years! and counting).  Especially when it can disable the transmission shifter, throttle control, and electrical power steering while driving.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2015","productMake":"RAM","productModel":"1500","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]}]}
