I have had numerous incidents where the camera has failed when backing up and have photos to document these instances.  I brought my 2017 Edge to the dealership today and was told that it did not need replacement.  So, it's \"safe\" to have the camera display a blank screen some of the time?  I would think that the rationale behind a backup camera is that it is safe 100% of the time or it should be replaced.  If a part fails only some of the time, is it considered a safe part per the NHTSA?  I would really appreciate hearing back from someone at NHTSA on this issue and perhaps there needs to be review with Ford on how this is being handled.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2017","productMake":"FORD","productModel":"EDGE","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
