Because this same telematics module is responsible for emergency SOS and automatic crash notification, I am concerned the registration failure may compromise the vehicle's ability to place emergency calls. The dealer applied the latest software update with no effect, and a Volkswagen support ticket remains unresolved. I am filing so this connectivity/telematics defect is on record. No crash or injury.
