The vehicle was towed to the dealer. This created a dangerous situation in heavy traffic with my child in the car and could have easily led to a collision. The vehicle was promptly taken to the closest authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed a Brake Vacuum Booster failure along with Diagnostic Trouble Code P057B-00 (Brake Pedal Position Sensor related). I have video footage of the symptom occurring and photos of the repair diagnosis. This is a new vehicle with very low mileage, and this unexpected failure raises serious safety concerns about potential defects in the brake system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this matter to determine if it affects other 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokees.
