I stopped on the shoulder and composed myself.  I drove slowly home, thankfully I was not far from home.  Took the car next morning to the mechanic and was told that the high pressure fuel pump needed replacement.  it cost me $1800 which I had no choice because the car was a hazard to drive anywhere.  I have recently learned that there was a recall for my 2016 Honda Accord regarding the fuel pump.  I never received any notice whatsoever in regards to this potentially serious road hazard otherwise I would have taken my car for service at a Honda dealership. I would like for Honda to reimburse me for this money that I could not afford to replace the failing fuel pump.  My car's mileage is only 65k miles give or take.
