The resulting pressure from the tank pushed the, now detached, front strap onto the rear drive shaft and gouging it to un-safe condition. Thankfully it did not wear completely through the drive shaft as seen in other reports.   This is a know issue with these trucks. There is a extended warranty campaign but this needs to be a full on recall.
