This is dangerous when driving as you cannot turn, avoid a collision, etc. I've had vehicles without power steering, and this was like the truck is actively pulling against you when trying to turn.  The dealership did a diagnostic and said the power steering rack (electronic) needs to be replaced completely as it's going out.  I'm not sure if it's related, but I've had other issues before this where my lane assist and cruise control would flash while in use and all turn off while driving down the road as well.
