The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle was idling rough. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that it was a common failure associated with the recall, but parts were not yet available for the repair. The contact was advised to keep the fuel tank more than half full and to not drive the vehicle in extremely hot weather. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 55 MPH and hauling a loaded 12 ft. trailer in the desert, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to a second dealer, Jones Ford Casa Grande (2425 E Florence Blvd Ste A, Casa Grande, AZ 85194), where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced at the owner's expense because parts for the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was informed that reimbursement would be provided once parts became available. The contact was waiting for the dealer to confirm whether the repair was covered under the extended warranty. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the fuel economy rate failed to match the advertised rate. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2022","productMake":"FORD","productModel":"F-150","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
