Moved to the shoulder and stopped quickly using regenerative braking for an oncoming emergency vehicle. I got back on the highway and I suddenly lost almost all pedal response and it would not accelerate. I kept pushing the accelerator pedal harder and harder. That's when the ICE kicked on and there was a sudden violent lurch forward and the engine was screaming at over 5000 RPM. There were cars approaching behind me and they had to suddenly stop and they honked horns and avoid hitting me.
