The volume button still worked and you could touch the screen and her things change but you could not see anything because the screen was black. It is like turning the brightness completely off a touchscreen, it works but you can't see anything. There are current recalls for this for other models but they say mine is not included. But I had the exact same problem with mine. It did not work until I turned my car off, returned and restarted my car, after that it worked normally.
