The smell is noticeable both while driving and after the vehicle has been parked, and it is strong enough to enter the passenger cabin.  This condition raises serious safety concerns because the odor may indicate a fuel system leak or another defect that could increase the risk of fire or expose occupants to harmful gasoline fumes. The smell is persistent and has not gone away.  I believe this issue presents a significant safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. I request that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether it is a widespread defect affecting 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles and whether a safety recall or other corrective action is warranted.
