On multiple occasions while traveling on the freeway, the vehicle has suddenly and aggressively slammed on the brakes with absolutely no obstacles, vehicles, or hazards in front of it. The vehicle anchors the brakes without warning, causing rapid and dangerous deceleration from 60-70 mph. This has nearly resulted in catastrophic rear-end collisions from vehicles traveling behind me. The issue is highly intermittent and unpredictable. It appears to be a major defect in the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)\u2014specifically the forward-facing camera or radar modules\u2014which are misinterpreting road conditions, shadows, or reflections as an imminent collision threat. We have actively tried to get this resolved through the Classic Jeep, Madison ohio. The vehicle has been brought into the dealership service department several times for this exact occurrence. A corporate safety \"SAFE case\" was opened CN102930576 , and most recently, the customer service manager test-drove the vehicle for 4 to 5 days. Because the issue is intermittent, they were unable to replicate it during that specific timeframe, found no active error codes in the computer, and performed no repairs. The vehicle was returned to us completely unresolved and remains an active danger to drive. The manufacturer's inability to replicate a highly intermittent software or sensor defect does not negate the severe danger this vehicle poses. Sudden, unprompted hard braking at 65+ mph creates an immediate risk of a multi-car highway accident. I am filing this complaint to urge the NHTSA to investigate 2024 Jeep Compass forward collision warning and AEB systems before this defect causes a serious or fatal crash.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"JEEP","productModel":"COMPASS","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]}]}
