The vehicle experienced an active cylinder misfire caused by a failure within the Active Fuel Management (AFM) system, where a cylinder deactivation lifter collapsed and became stuck.This mechanical failure creates an extreme safety hazard. The sudden drop in throttle response, engine stuttering, and loss of power impair my ability to maintain highway speeds, merge safely, or accelerate away from oncoming traffic. The engine stumbles significantly under load, risking a rear-end collision on public roads. The vehicle remains unrepaired at this time due to the catastrophic nature of the valvetrain defect and the severe risk of complete engine seizure while in motion.
