The spring and rubber piece holding the spring in both fell to the ground with no damage done. The vehicle was towed to a jeep dealership where they confirmed there was no damage to any part of the vehicle, and it just fell out with no explanation. The dealer insists that we cannot reinstall the same sping, even though there is no damage to the vehicle or spring. If this would have happened at highway speeds, it could have been very dangerous for me or others around me. The dealer is currently making the repairs, but at my cost. There is currently a recall for this exact issue for my make/model/trim but for vehicles produced earlier in the year of 2023 (my vehicle is not covered).
