At a stop light, I started to accelerate at about 2000-3000 RPM. While doing so, there was a loud ticking/grinding noise coming from the transmission/Bell housing area. On June 2nd, I dropped the truck off with the dealership. I didn’t hear back from them until about a month later (July 3rd) and when I did they said the technician confirmed I needed a new ‘axle actuator’. About a week and a half later, they said it did not fix the issue and started to become more of a problem to where they will need an “engine technician” to see if I need a new engine due to the “crank shaft thrust bearing”. The advisor said he will call me on Wednesday, July 15th to update me on what I will need. I requested a Loaner vehicle since I dropped it off and they said no because the dealer does not provide that and would have to get approval from GM to grant me the loaner vehicle bast off the diagnostic.
