I was told that due to rust holes near the REAR TRAILING ARMS my vehicle would not pass a safety inspection.  Publicly available information indicates that this condition can potentially cause a loss of control of the vehicle, and thus a crash, and presumably, potential loss of life!! There is no recall for this issue in this model year Honda, there is no fix, (even though there was a recall on 2007-2011 model year Hondas for the same issue) and my dealership is not able to recommend anyone who might be able to fix this problem.  They can't fix it.  According to the service manager at Automaster, Honda Canada has reportedly been issued a bulletin indicating that this 'problem' is neither a safety or structural issue but no such bulletin has been issued for Honda U.S.  He advised me that my vehicle is safe to drive; however, I still cannot get an inspection sticker, without which I could receive a citation, and I am still troubled each time I get in this car.  I don't think I could sell this car even if I wanted to because of this issue. The only entity who has inspected my vehicle is the dealership.  There were no warning lights or messages and last year, supposedly conducting the same inspection, there was no indication of this problem or I was not informed of one at that time. I am going in July 16 for a necessary brake job, something also recommended on June 11 when I was advised of the trailing arm issue.  I can't drive around with worn brakes. Photos attached are from June 11, taken with a technician's cell phone.  When I go in on July 16, I will view the damage myself and take my own pictures. On June 11, the vehicle had already been taken off the lift and I could not see the damage myself that day.  Thank you.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2017","productMake":"HONDA","productModel":"CR-V","manufacturer":"Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)"}]}]}
