It sounds like an alarm noise for several seconds. I always turn the volume to 0, but I don't know if that's what shuts off the sound, or if it stops on it's own. The only way to clear the error with the radio, is to change the source from the current setting to a different source. ( FM to AM or Sirius ). This has happened multiple times. I've had the vehicle serviced by ford and received OTA updates that address this problem.
