The sudden failure created a dangerous situation, placing both my family and me at significant risk.  As a result of the breakdown, I was forced to pay $260 out of pocket to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. After inspecting the vehicle, the dealership advised me that the engine requires complete replacement.  There was no indication that the engine was going to go. Thankfully there was a shoulder on the highway and we were able to pull over.
