Scared us to death. We pulled off the side of the road to regroup and understand what just happened. We didn't understand and continued and stopped using cruise. We found a Hyundai dealer in [XXX] and went to ask them if they could help. It was a salesman who first quizzed us about where we brought the car, why we didn't buy from them, and pointed to the cruise control button and told us to take it back to the dealer We purchased it from. We just went on our way. Since that time, this car has braked suddendly, on it's own at least 12 or 14 times. It doesn't just brake, it stops. We have almost been hit numerous times, the seat belt has kept me from hitting the steering wheel, dash or windshield several times during this sudden breaking. I took the car in fir the recall that was supposed to fix this problem. It has not. Twice last week it decided to brake twice, once putting us in a serious position on the roadway while making a left turn. I took it back today and explained the situation. After they had it a couple of hours, they told me nothing was wrong with it. I am afraid to drive it and I know what is happening on an irregular basis.
