When I pressed the accelerator to complete the turn, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate as expected. An approaching vehicle had to decelerate abruptly and honk to avoid a collision. My Bronco is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-455/Ford Campaign 25S75 concerning loss of fuel pressure and fuel flow caused by low-pressure fuel-pump failure. I am concerned that the hesitation was related to the recalled fuel-pump condition. There were no injuries or collision, but the loss of expected acceleration created an immediate safety risk. The recall remedy is not currently available.
