Without addressing the issue the vehicle would randomly engage a \"limp\" mode and limit the speed to 50 mph, forcing the driver to operate at unsafe speeds on freeways and highways. Defect is a hazard to driver and other vehicles due to the unpredictable speed control caused by the defective parts.
