The sudden activation of the AEB system at highway speed on a wet surface caused the vehicle to lose traction, resulting in fishtailing and a subsequent head-on collision into the median. This malfunction not only put my life in danger, but the life of my passenger because if I was not able to recover as I did, the truck would have went right off the bridge. The AEB system is the component involved, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The problem has not yet been evaluated or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center; currently, the vehicle is being evaluated by the insurance company, and inspection is pending. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the incident.
