The dealership diagnosed a failed engine motor mount and quoted approximately $1,200 for the repair. I am concerned because the motor mount failed at relatively low mileage without any accident, misuse, or other known cause. When I asked the dealership why it failed, I was told there was “no reason” and that “it just happens.” They were unable to provide any additional explanation. I also asked whether there were any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) related to this issue and whether the repair should be covered under my remaining powertrain warranty. I was told the motor mount was not covered, but I was not given a clear explanation or shown the specific warranty exclusion. My concern is that a failed motor mount can allow excessive engine movement, which may affect vehicle operation, damage other components, or create a safety risk if it occurs while driving. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated to determine whether this is a broader defect affecting similar vehicles.
