The recall remedy instructs owners to park and charge the vehicle outside and away from structures. My property does not allow for this: the vehicle must be garaged in a bay directly beneath an occupied room, adjacent to two other vehicles, and near the home's main electrical panel and gas furnace. There is no alternative outdoor charging location on my property. I am currently unable to comply with the manufacturer's own safety instruction for this recall, which leaves me either storing a known fire-risk vehicle against manufacturer guidance or unable to use the vehicle at all. The permanent remedy for this recall population is still under development as of this filing.
