The pole was a barrier protecting the support pole for the canopy. The car front center hit the pole so hard that the front collapsed. The hood buckled in the center and the pole went half way to the windscreen. The air bags did not deploy. The driver got hit with steering or something in the chest and caused lot of pain for about 10 days. No internal injury was detected. The car was totalled. The car did not complain of any incident except the dash reported something binding when tried to back off from the pole.  The car repair company declared it as write off including the auto insurance company. Police was called and they did not take any data no other investigation was done.
