The warning light repeatedly turns on and off, but the problem continues. On 96000, the Ford dealership diagnosed internal coolant intrusion into the engine/cylinder area and advised that the vehicle requires major engine repair or replacement estimated at approximately $10,000.  This defect can cause continued misfires, reduced engine performance, overheating, stalling, or sudden loss of power while driving. I am concerned that the engine could fail or lose power in traffic without adequate warning.  This appears to be a premature internal engine failure rather than normal maintenance. Ford declined my request for financial or goodwill assistance even though coolant intrusion is a documented problem affecting similar Ford EcoBoost engines. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this defect and determine whether a safety recall is necessary.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2016","productMake":"FORD","productModel":"EDGE","manufacturer":"Ford Motor Company"}]}]}
