Since owning the vehicle for less than one year, the transmission has begun to fail. The vehicle was taken to a different Nissan dealership (Poughkeepsie Nissan in Wappingers Falls, NY) where it has been confirmed that the transmission is failing and will not go into gear correctly. Service records for the vehicle were pulled from the dealership that sold it to me (Romeo Nissan in Kingston, NY) and the transmission had never been serviced or repaired. If the vehicle slips out of gear or will not go into gear correctly, this could cause a major accident including life threatening injuries and potentially death to myself or others in vehicles around me. When I reached out to Nissan consumer affairs, they only offered to cover 50% of the cost to repair or replace the transmission which is a cost of $3200 to myself which would cause a severe, undue hardship to my situation. This vehicle is not safe to be on the roadways, as it can fail at any time. There have not been any warning lights or messages to the transmission issue. The transmission can be felt slipping while driving. The CVT transmission is a known issue with Nissan engines, which is why they offered an extra, extended warranty on these vehicles, but Romeo Nissan let the vehicle sit on the lot until it was outside of the extended warranty before it was sold to me.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2018","productMake":"NISSAN","productModel":"ROGUE","manufacturer":"Nissan North America, Inc."}]}]}
