This sound appears to come out of the speakers; we turn off the stereo system, and the sound continues.  It is very dangerous, as the sound is extremely loud; it has happened out of nowhere while driving. This has been happening for a couple of months last time it happened was 8/30 that I could not drive as teh sound was too loud.
