The navigation system is completely gone. There is absolutely no way to get the maps or even the navigation settings menu up. On every startup, you can see a part of the screen which shows it tries to load navigation,  but fails every time.  There are a few critical safety issues with this. To start, a main feature of the Adaptive Cruise Control is relying on GPS map data to anticipate sharp bends in the highway. If the navigation system cannot provide this layout data, the adaptive cruise control will not automatically slow down for upcoming curves, forcing the driver to intervene suddenly or risk carrying too much speed into a turn.  Missing speed limits: If the navigation system fails, the car may display the wrong speed limit, or none at all, increasing the risk of accidental speeding or sudden braking when a camera finally catches a sign.  Reliance on phones: If the primary infotainment screen is dead or the GPS is frozen, drivers frequently resort to handling a smartphone to find their way. Looking down at a phone screen significantly increases glances away from the road, which is a leading cause of distracted-driving accidents.  Delayed Emergency Response: Connected safety services use the car\u2019s internal GPS module to automatically broadcast the vehicle\u2019s exact coordinates to emergency responders in the event of a severe collision or airbag deployment. If the GPS framework within the navigation system is entirely non-functional, the vehicle may fail to transmit this critical location data or provide incorrect data when every second counts.  This problem has been reproduced by dealers and many other owners. The manufacturer is aware but has not provided any details. Most people who have already took it to the dealer have not received any help. This happened directly due to the most recent software update.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2026","productMake":"GENESIS","productModel":"G80","manufacturer":"Hyundai Motor America"}]}]}
