After that repair the check engine light returned. On XXX, AutoZone scanned the vehicle. The only code stored was P0456, EVAP System Leak Detected (very small leak). The scan identified the Emission System Integrity Monitor (ESIM), which mounts on the canister, replaced under UB4. The dealer service advisor, [XXX], said the vehicle would have to be diagnosed again and that I would have to pay for the diagnosis if they found something other than the original recall item. She said a manager would call back. I did not receive a call back. I opened Chrysler Customer Care case XXX. I have not authorized a paid diagnostic or signed a paid repair order. I am requesting that the completed UB4 repair area and related EVAP/ESIM components be inspected at no charge. I am filing this report because the same evaporative emissions system set a leak code after a completed manufacturer campaign, and the servicing dealer required a paid diagnosis before inspecting that work.
