My vehicle was travelling approximately 5-7mph and slowing to a traffic signal when the Active Head Rest deployed, launching my head and trunk forward to the steering wheel.    The Jeep Service Representative informed me that this is a well-known issue and the NHTSA closed the investigation without ordering a recall.  (PE19014, opened 2019)  The failure mechanism is reported to be mechanical as the AHR relies on a plastic bracket holding a metal rod that connects to hooks meant to trigger only in a rear-end crash, and that plastic simply fails under prolonged tension over time with no warning signs beforehand.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2015","productMake":"JEEP","productModel":"GRAND CHEROKEE","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]}]}
