I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop without colliding with another vehicle or object and was not injured. There were no warning lights or messages that I recall indicating that the hood was not properly secured before it opened. The cause of the hood opening is currently UNKNOWN and the vehicle has not yet been inspected to determine whether the hood latch or related mechanism failed. The vehicle and hood/latch components are being preserved for inspection. I subsequently learned that Land Rover has issued technical service information concerning hood-latch conditions on this model, including SSM72074 and SSM72738. I have requested that the hood, both hood latches, release mechanism/cable, alignment and related components be inspected and documented before repair or disposal.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2013","productMake":"LAND ROVER","productModel":"RANGE ROVER EVOQUE","manufacturer":"Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC"}]}]}
