Daylight, clear weather, dry road. My eyes were on the road and I received no attention alerts. While in an open lane, FSD signaled and abruptly changed lanes into a closed express lane entrance blocked by lowered gate arms with reflectors and a flag. The lane change and impact happened too fast to react. There was no collision warning or alert and no braking. It hit the first arm without slowing. The arm shattered the windshield, sending glass into the cabin, then went over the hood.  The car never registered the impact. With no alert or braking, it kept going at the same speed toward the remaining arms until I took over and steered away, with no visibility through the windshield. Sunglasses and a face covering are the only reason glass did not reach my eyes. I had minor skin irritation on one arm.  The responding officer said he knew what happened on sight. He said Teslas on FSD crash through the arms at this exact location regularly when the express lanes are closed because they do not recognize them, and that he often writes these crash reports there.  The collision repair technician said he has seen a large increase in Teslas crashing through barrier arms since July 2026 and believes a software update caused a regression in barrier arm recognition.  I believe Avoid Tolls/HOV was enabled at the time, though I am not 100% certain. It is enabled now, and FSD still routes my car into the express lanes on my commute, so the system does not appear to honor that setting.  Not yet confirmed by a service center. Seen by police, an insurance adjuster and a repair shop. Vehicle available for inspection. I have asked Tesla to preserve all logs, telemetry and EDR data. No dashcam footage, as the USB had failed.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2026","productMake":"TESLA","productModel":"MODEL Y","manufacturer":"Tesla, Inc."}]}]}
