The light intentionally flashes/pules approximately three times at the initial application of the brakes and then changes to a steady-burning condition. The vehicle was purchased from a Nissan/Wyler dealership on October 28, 2024.  I am concerned that the initial flashing/pulsing operation of the required center high-mounted stop lamp may not comply with the steady-burning requirements applicable to stop lamps under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No.108 My Retail Purchase Agreement contains a separate $794.00 charge identified as \"Tephc Detail Wyler Certified Plus.\" I am currently attempting to determine whether the flashing/pulsing brake-light function is part of the vehicle's original Nissan Equipment or whether an aftermrket device, module, wiring modification, programming change,or other equipment was installed or activated by the dealership. NHTSA has previously addressed devices that cause center high-mounted stop lamps to flash. In NHTSA interpretation documents concerning flashing stop-lamp devices. I understand that NHTSA's prior interpretations do not by themselves establish that my particular vehicle is noncompliant. I am providing this information so that NHTSA can make its own determination.","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2025","productMake":"NISSAN","productModel":"KICKS","manufacturer":"Nissan North America, Inc."}]}]}
