I have not experienced the recalled failure, warning message, loss of motive power, or loss of exterior lighting. I am filing because the recall remains unrepaired and the remedy is unavailable for my vehicle. The recall notice I received is dated June 10, 2026. NHTSA states that DC/DC converter failure can cause loss of 12-volt charging and ultimately loss of motive power and exterior lighting, increasing crash risk. I routinely rely on this vehicle to transport my children. On August 26, 2026, at an authorized Land Rover dealership, a service advisor discussed Recall D126, the safety concern, and confirmed the repair was unavailable. I brought the vehicle home, parked it, and stopped routinely using it. On October 5, 2026, I contacted the Land Rover Customer Relationship Center. A representative told me continued driving would be “at my own risk” and, after I explained my concerns about transporting my children, advised me not to drive. I was also told the repair might not be available until January 2027. JLR reported the recall to NHTSA on April 17, 2026. By October 5, 171 days had passed. If delayed until January 2027, the recall could remain unresolved for about 8–9 months. I have no other suitable vehicle for transporting my children. Because the Land Rover remains parked, I use a bicycle when possible for school and activities. I was also told JLR Customer Relationship Center does not provide or handle loaner or rental assistance for this recall. No related warning lamps or messages have appeared because the failure has not occurred. The vehicle remains parked and available for inspection. I ask NHTSA to review the remedy delay and JLR’s management of Recall 26V-248, including whether owners are receiving an effective remedy and appropriate interim safety guidance.
