The key would stick in the ON oor Accessory position. The problem was in the microswitch button on the console shifter, the front button is pushed in to enable shifting into the PARK position. This is a safety concern due to not being able to turn off the ignition and also to not remove the key from the ignition.  The repair was done by the dealer, a control unit in the shifter was replaced to correct the problem. Part cost was $525, labor was $225.73. This is a class problem on Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon trucks.
