This complaint concerns a new replacement orange seatbelt installed by my employer in truck unit 50757, Tennessee plate [XXX]. During normal driving, the belt unexpectedly locks or tightens against my neck and pins me back, restricting movement and creating unsafe driving conditions. I have experienced similar problems in other company trucks, and colleagues report comparable problems affecting their necks. I have repeatedly documented defects in pre-trip and post-trip reports and notified management and safety. Yard lead [XXX] said the belts were fine and defect entries were being dismissed. I have not been informed of a satisfactory repair. The concern is unexpected locking during normal driving. I understand seatbelt use is required and want a functioning restraint. Exact belt manufacturer, model, part number, installation date are not yet confirmed. My records and recordings document the reported problem.
