On two separate occasions, while accelerating, the engine RPMs unexpectedly increased to approximately 3,000–4,000 without a corresponding increase in vehicle speed. The truck felt as though the transmission was temporarily disengaged or in neutral. I had to release the accelerator to allow the RPMs to return to normal.  On October 11, 2026, I experienced another concerning incident while stopped at a stop sign preparing to make a right turn. The Auto Start/Stop system had shut off the engine while I was holding the brake.  When I released the brake pedal, the engine restarted immediately. However, when I lightly pressed and held the accelerator, the vehicle did not move, and the engine RPMs did not increase. It felt as though the vehicle was being held in place despite my foot being off the brake.  After approximately 2–3 seconds, the vehicle began moving normally without me releasing or pressing the accelerator again.  No dashboard warning lights or error messages appeared during these incidents.  Approximately three days before the latest incident, I brought the vehicle to an authorized Ram dealership and reported the concerns. The dealership performed diagnostic checks and a road test but informed me that no diagnostic trouble codes were found and the problem could not be reproduced. I was advised that my concerns were documented in their records.  Despite the dealership inspection, the vehicle experienced another malfunction.  I am concerned that these intermittent issues could result in a collision, particularly when entering intersections, merging into traffic, or accelerating from a stop.  I am requesting that NHTSA review these incidents and investigate whether simila","products":[{"type":"Vehicle","productYear":"2024","productMake":"RAM","productModel":"1500","manufacturer":"Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)"}]}]}
