The vehicle sat for a day or two, then drove fine for a day, but then it became very difficult to steer again, requiring great effort to turn. Vehicle was taken in on 10/9/26 and driven by shop foreman who confirmed there was an issue. This problem became apparent to us while driving on the interstate when it became extremely difficult to steer, nearly causing a collision.  If lane assist is also active and a sudden steer is necessary, the combination of steering assembly problem and fighting the lane assist requires a tremendous amount of strength.
