The seller advertised the truck as having approximately 110,000 miles, and when I inspected it in person, the dashboard odometer displayed approximately 109,000 miles. Before purchasing the vehicle, I checked its VIN history using CARFAX and a second vehicle history website. The records showed that the truck had approximately 220,000 miles recorded about two years earlier, which is more than double the mileage currently displayed on the odometer. I verified this discrepancy using two separate sources and decided not to purchase the vehicle. The truck appeared clean, and a pre-purchase inspection mechanic also examined it, but the mileage discrepancy raised serious concerns that the odometer may have been tampered with or the vehicle's mileage misrepresented.
